"God gives us challenges because he knows that we can overcome it whatever may happen"
When I was in Grade 5, my father lost his job when the JNJ Oleo-chemical company was shut down. I thought that my life would be challenging. It was a hard life for me. One year, one year of my life that I thought would be miserable. We siblings were separated apart to each of our relatives. I was taken by my Aunty Myra with her two children; Kitz and Khay. I stayed with them for almost one year. Aunty Myra treated me as her own child.
I was transferred to South II Elem. School. At first, I was very shy and I didn't even talk to them. It's like I had my own world when I sat in my chair. But suddenly, my three classmates approached me. I was shocked. They befriended me. I was happy that I had somebody to talk with and a reason to attend in our class everyday. I thought that my miserable life was fading away. Since then, I was always happy to attend our class. I was also happy that I and Kitz were very close.
At first, it was very hard to make friends because I was afraid that they would judge me. But I was wrong. I approached them and talk to them. We had very good experiences. We cared for each other especially if someone had no homework. We always play sipa in our recess time. It's been a good year that I had met this kind of friends that I treasure.
In my recognition, I was awarded as 2nd honor. I was very happy. It was by the help of my friends that always asked me to review and do my homework. I was very thankful to them. I thought that without them, I couldn't achieve whatever I achieved now. I'm very thankful to them that I've met this kind of people. I also thank my cousins and my Aunty Myra for her love.
I was very thankful to God that I overcome that challenges in my life. I was also proud to myself that I overcome my personal challenges. I learned that how hard our problem is, there is always a reason to smile.
Now I am studying in Quezon National High School with a contented life as a Grade 10 STE-Archimedes (JE). I make new friends that I can say that are my treasures in my life.
